Jobs and Good News!

So this past week Nick and I both got jobs! AND its at the same place so we will be working together. It;s a call center which can be very annoying and repetitive, but at least its something. Plus we get to set our own schedule! As long as we both get 20 hours a week we can work whenever we need to. That way Nick and I will have the same schedule so that we can spend more time together! And we will pretty much always work weekends to make Nicks workdays easier during the week. Also, if we need to go out of town for a weekend, its no big deal. All we have to do is put in a request and we will get it off! But that can mean that we would lose about 8 or 9 hours, but we technically don't have to make it up. However, we have the option! Which is awesome! So if we want to make it up during the week, we can, but it's not mandatory! So that's awesome!

I am just glad that nick will be there! It will be much more entertaining and bearable with him there! Also I can actually have stuff on my desk here! I can bring coloring books, homework, scriptures, etc. I just cant have electronics. Other than that I can do pretty much anything! I;m seriously gonna bring coloring books!

This is so amazing and we are so grateful that we will both be working. Also we will be getting his student loan soon! Which will take a huge weight off our chests! We have been waiting TWO months for it to be finalized and come through, but it finally did so we are just waiting for it to be funded! And that should happen in the next week!

We are so grateful for everything that has happened this last week!

Memorial Day Fun

So today Nick and I decided to go to the park again and we had ourselves a little picnic. While everyone around us was grilling up burgers and hot dogs and eating their delicious potato salad, Nick and I were at our own little picnic table eating Wendy's. Then we decided to skate around a little bit and then topped it all off with a trip to the local snow cone stand! It was such a great day! We had so much fun. Nice days in Rexburg can be hard to come by now a days, so we love soaking up every second of it! Because before we know it, it will be fall time and we will be six feet under in snow.

sunday shananagins

So today we decided to go to the park since it was a really nice day. Nick rode around on his skateboard and so did I! We didn't get any pictures of me though. Partially because I don't trust people with my camera, but that's beside the point. We went to porter park and just rode around for a while. It was really fun! And I didn't fall once! Before you know it, I am going to be a pro! Just kidding, but it was a ton of fun. It was finally a nice day today. It has been raining every day on and off all day so once it starts to clear up another storm would roll in. It was very annoying. But hey, at least its sunny now! And hopefully it will stay that way!

Dorsett Family Blog!

I am keeping so many blogs right now, but I love it! This is my newest one! This is where I want to share things that are going on in the small Dorsett family! Right now, our family just consists of Nick, our pillow pet Stitch, and I! But I still would love to share what we have going on!

So on my personal blog, I announced that we are moving! Which we are, but in a few months! I am already super excited and anxious about it! I will post kind of what I posted there on here. So we are living in Central Park Apartments. They have newly furnished studio apartments. They are quite nice, but the one we are in right now is just a little small for our liking. So we are staying in what is considered a "Pocket Kitchen Apartment." Here are some photos of the apartment.

So as you can see it is pretty small. It has been nice, but we are tired of being crammed in this tiny space. The couch ends up covered in clothes, back packs, computers, etc. Then when we want to sit down, all of that gets transferred to the bed. Then when it is time for bed, it all gets transferred back to the couch. Do you see the routine? I honestly gets very annoying. Plus, if there is anything on the table, the bed isn't made, the couch is full of stuff, there is something on the floor, or the desk is a tad messy, the WHOLE apartment feels like a disaster. So it forces us to keep it clean, but it also makes it hard to live in because if you do anything, it makes the apartment a mess.

On to the kitchen... I challenge you to make dinner in there. Even if its just pasta. Just try. Seriously I take the hot plate out to the table and use it out there because there is literally NO room in that kitchen.. Plus our sink is so small you can't have anything in there while you are washing dishes so we end up sticking our dirty dishes in the bathroom while we are washing them.. like really? It drives me insane.

So on a better note, here are some pictures of the new place. This is considered a "One Bedroom Apartment."

The only thing I can say about this new place is "Ahhhhhhhh" a sigh of relief and "AHHHHHHH"  a scream of excitement! Compared to our current apartment this place is like a freaking mansion! I am so excited and so grateful that we get the opportunity to make our living situation a little more livable! I can;t wait to share pictures when we have it organized and decorated the  our very own way!
